I’ve never tried birdwatching before but I had to turn around when I saw them so close to to the road. I came back a moment later and they’d started crossing, so I pulled in my neighbor’s driveway, got as close as I could, and took the pictures you see. I’m starting to consider getting a decent camera for this, any suggestions? I regularly spot the flock across at my neighbor’s farm (like my last post), which I’d say is probably… 200m or so? I might try and get a better range this weekend.

Side note, you can totally hear them fluff up from a good distance. It’s exactly what you’d think it sounds like, just louder.
