I’m guessing there’s now a huge amount of panic in Europe with the realization that Trump is most likely to get elected. I’d also argue that US policy will be to deprioritize Europe regardless of who gets in. Now that they lost the proxy war in Ukraine, I expect US will double down on trying to maintain presence in Asia. Europe is just not a core interest at this point because US sees China as their main competitor.

US was hoping to get a regime change in Russia and balkanize it as the best case scenario, but the second objective was to ensure that Europe wouldn’t become integrated into an economic bloc with Russia and China. They got that accomplished now, and there’s no more reason to keep pouring resources into Europe.

I’m going to be in China from June, and I am desperately hoping that whatever happens happens then, so I can claim asylum. Europe is going to implode.

Recruitment processes are under assault from faceless, woke people.

What do they propose, back to the traditional British recruitment in jails and taverns? Also whoa, scary faceless woke people

They’ll be hoping to use the tried and tested method of recruiting from the colonies with the promise of citizenship.

Didn’t they ignored their faithful Hong Kong pawns when they were in danger of getting their asses grilled over the riots and wanted to run to UK?

Oh, yeah, I’m not saying they’ll deliver on the promise. They’ll do to the recruits what the US did to Ukrainian conscripts, then treat the survivors like the Gurkhas and ignore them until the next military crisis.
