Joker fans sweating their Party City makeup off when Kravibus fans enter the room.
That joker sequel is such a slap in the face. I despise musicals, and equally despise overrated nepo baby gaga.
It would be like Peter Jackson deciding to make the two towers into a musical and hire Mariah Carey to play Arwen. It doesn’t fit the first one in any way, and I just hate the entire concept of it

The difference here is that LOTR is actual literature. The Joker is pulp from an era where villains were really silly. You’ll be okay, I think.
I wouldn’t be so bold as to walk into to conversation about genre fiction and start categorizing them as “literature” or “pulp”.

I hate musicals too, but it worked with Sweeny Todd. But I’m very skeptical.
Now go and watch the first one with a critical eye.
