In a clip from the show, which aired in November of last year, the 68-year-old suggested that the generation didn’t want to work and if they did, they would for as little as four hours.

Goldberg also insisted that moving out and buying a property has always been hard and young people simply needed to ‘get it done’ like their parents, grandparents and great grandparents.

Noone wants to work - that’s why they give you money to do it instead of the opposite.

Where I am, median house prices have risen 600% relative to median income since 1974 (around the time Goldberg would have bought a house). That means the deposit we drop up-front is the equivalent of her entire 30 year mortgage.

Don’t get distracted by the intergenerational resentment though - no war but class war, and Goldberg is no ally of yours.

Fuck her. She’s a rich multi-millionaire who’s out of touch with reality. Many jobs won’t give you more than 10-20 hours per week even if you beg for them.

Sorry Whoopi that we’re not working the shit jobs for shit pay with shit environments anymore. Maybe you all should’ve thought about paying people more if you wanted us to keep working those. You fucked around, now you’re finding out.
