I’ve seen it argued that Trump is a perfect example of “Any publicity is good publicity,” so I see where you’re coming from.
However, I also think the time to do that would have been after he lost the 2020 election (almost) four years ago, or even this time last year when there was the possibility of other candidates becoming the republican nominee.
But now, he is the presumptive republican nominee, will be debating Joe Biden this coming Thursday, and has a terrifyingly real shot of regaining the presidency.
This late in the election cycle, I just don’t see how ignoring Trump and his blatant criminal corruption is an option.
