Buddy was claiming 8 months ago that Pokrovsk would be taken in the “near future” and the Kursk incursion would buy no more than a few months… Even with North Korean troops stationed in Kursk helping them reduce the need to split troops, Russian forces still haven’t made it to Pokrovsk yet.

Ukraine is probably at the forefront of the world at this point in terms of producing combat drones.

They depend on the West for intelligence support, missiles and anti-air and the high-tech kit of the 20th century, and raw mass of ammunition. They’re far from self-sufficient. But they are also set up to be a weapons-production powerhouse in the future if they survive the war in some independent form.

Edit: Also, Russia is outspending Ukraine+allies roughly ten to one in this war. They like to whine as if it is cheating for anyone to give Ukraine any help at all, as if the West is just propping up Ukraine with raw money power, but all the aid is doing is reducing that ratio down from 20-to-1 which it would be, to 10-to-1. The money level spent on the war is not the reason why they’ve been losing.
