Happy new season!
Ladies, gentlemen, and everyone else:
It’s been an honor F5ing with you.
I’ve had a craving to watch those again for the last couple of months…
I might on my flight back to the US just cuz what else am I gonna do for 24 hours lol
On my return flight from the US, a 3hr 40min stop over turned into close to 10hr. I could have fitted most of those in in hindsight xD
that being said, I would appreciate suggestions on what to watch on Emirates flights lol.
Geez, let me think… I was so exhausted during most of my travel I ended up spending a lot of the flight in and out of sleep.
Actually, I recomend Monkey Man. I didn’t get to finish it and, warning, it can be quite explicit. But, it was an absolute banger!
I think I watched Oppenhiemer, which I’d been putting off for a while.
I rewatched Cool Runnings and that still holds up. I’d suggest Dune pt. II, but maybe a proper TV would be better, lol.
I have travelled so much lately It’s all kind of a blur…
I’ve seen Oppenheimer and Dune 2 (I did the former on my flight back to Hong Kong, actually). Have heard good things about Monkey Man but I’ll see bout the rest
Obviously LOTR, but if you have not watched these…Godzilla Minus One, that Louis Koo slums movie, BSG (start with the miniseries if you can download it), Shogun, The Acolyte (if you care for Star Wars)…
You’re probably too young but the City Hunter remake on Netflix is very much on point with the series, a bit sanitized but on point.
I ended up watching Bluey when I flew Emirates for 13 hours though and nothing else lol
I do an extended version rewatch every two years or so when there is absolutely nothing on. It boggles my mind still it was twenty years ago they came out and the fx is better than some movies today (even the tv series).
Watching the practical effects they used is so fascinating. They were using tricks invented a 100 years ago
The details they had in everything were incredible. Truly a labor of love.
