Dave Upthegrove won his primary by 51 votes. The manual recount was just completed.

One vote was incorrectly counted for Jaime Herrera Beutler. Therefor, Dave Upthegrove still won by 51 votes against the third place candidate, Sue Kuehl Pederson.

Update: The final vote count was a 49 vote difference.

    51 votes! That’s really something, even if it is in the race for 2nd place.

    2024 is an important election to vote Blue Downtheballot and Upthegrove.

    Local elections have the most impact on our daily lives and are often decided by razor thin margins. Vote on the entire ballot!

    I appreciate that Upthegrove is the only candidate who said he decided not to take money from the logging industry. If we need any reminders of the consequences of politicians selling out our public lands to corporate interest, look no further than what the GOP tried doing in FL behind the public’s. back.
