GM is bringing back the Bolt next year. Having owned both a Fiesta and a Bolt, I much prefer the latter

I hope you can take some solace in the fact that you gave her a good life and made her feel loved. May you one day meet again.
I’m a big proponent of buying local whenever possible. This plus something similar for physical products is really useful no matter where you live.
I feel this. Getting tired of living through historical events.
Vimium. Allows you to use your keyboard to navigate instead of needing to always reach for the mouse.

These are great, learned 2 new words I never heard before. Slightly related, but in fine fettle can also be used to refer to someone in good shape (mentally or physically).
Own a '22 Bolt EUV. Been a phenomenal car for our needs, e.g. daily commute, grocery runs, weekend family trips w/ the dog, etc. Hope more car companies continue to offer smaller, efficient vehicles instead of focusing solely on large trucks and SUVs.
Nice progress. A sharp tool makes a world of difference. As far as the shavings, mine usually go in the composter. A buddy of mine gives them away to people with chickens.
The temperature difference between streets in our neighborhood that have trees and those that don’t is eye-opening. Even more so with parks. Trees create such a pleasant micro-climate.
True, yeah there’s not much of a story if he just knew who she was from the start. I was just wondering how long he’d continue being oblivious.
Also thought it was wild they went right back smoking after his scare.
Picked the first volume up at my local library without knowing anything about it. Was a light read and the MC is pretty dense, but mostly enjoyed it. Thanks for this, guess I can pick up where I left off
Ah, you’re back
True, Net Metering 3.0 made paybacks longer, although if you apply your tax credits to your loan it’s still reasonable. Though I’d point out that there’s no break even point if you’re just paying PG&E. With a solar loan, your payments are locked in vs subject to rate increases and after its paid off, you essentially eliminate your electric bill. I’m just speaking from personal experience though so YMMV.
I agree that housing affordability is difficult in CA and that renters have less options in this regard.
That’s crazy. Is solar an option? It’s close to $120/mo depending on how many panels you get and the terms of the loan/lease. And if you buy you get up to a 1/3 of it back in tax credit (assuming you owe enough).
The kicker is that a vast amount of these stadiums are paid for by tax payers. We’re subsidizing billionaires to build these things that we still have to pay to use instead of investing in public spaces and transportation/infrastructure projects
Cool, hadn’t heard this was happening. May try to catch a showing
I think about my next endeavors a lot. I make it a point to invest some time in them now while I still have the energy. I know some people who retired and felt a little lost because work was their raison d’etre or they were waiting for retirement to pick up a hobby.
If I hit FI, I plan on immersing myself in my hobbies (playing guitar, photography, gardening), building furniture for family and friends, and exercising more. And spending time in nature.
Also, since my dog is a recue, my altruistic pipe dream is to make enough money so I can buy some land and adopt a bunch of shelter dogs. Maybe even start a non-profit so I could pay the people who work at rescues a decent wage bc some of them are saints.
