    It is in a FPTP system, where the spoiler effect and lack of accurate representation of voters interests means that votes outside of the doupoly are meaningless.

      Every vote for Harris is stealing a vote from third-party candidates who represent real change. By sidelining those voices, you’re indirectly helping Trump win!

        Have you forgotten so soon? I’m pretty you said it yourself, that no candidate is owed a vote?

        And 3rd party candidates don’t represent real change, because they never even win a single electoral vote. You can’t make real change if you don’t even step foot onto the race track.

        By sidelining those voices, you’re indirectly helping Trump win!

        The most likely candidate to beat Trump is Harris, so you got it backwards, and you know this.

          The Lemmy community has inspired me and led me to update my outlook!

          I now believe a vote for Harris is taking a vote away from a third party candidate, and is giving it to Trump. Thanks for the updated viewpoint Lemmy!
