I used this with my partner for sending video messages back and forth for several years. There’s quite a few videos saved as messages in the app - I can see previous ones and rewatch them.
Logging into Google Meet online, I can’t see any record of the messages at all. As far as I can tell, they’re saved locally on the phone.
I can’t find any record of the files on the phone when I look through the files app, or when I plug into a chromebook.
I’m able to save individual videos to GDrive (which is where I’d like these to end up). It’s pretty onerous to upload what seems to be hundreds of videos this way.
If there’s any way to access these that I haven’t thought of, I’d appreciate it!
I didn’t know this was a thing, thank you! It looks like the only Google Meet file format is a .csv record of meetings, so I’m not sure if this covers my strange use case.
This’ll be super useful for future backups!
I wish I could be of more help, I’ve rarely used google meet and never used it to record.
