Friend I think you need to take a wire brush to the bottom of the pan and reseason it
It’s been like that since I got it years ago. I’ve just been building a new seasoning over it.
Never had an issue. I make almost exclusively eggs in it and they never stick. So I’m good 🤷♂️
That’s how my mom’s had her pans and I still can’t match her cooking.
I love that there is a cast iron community here 😆
