Not jumping to foregone conclusions is a good idea, no matter how likely a particular actor is, imo. And it’s quite likely that we’ll have to accept a degree of uncertainty for years. The Nord Stream sabotage wasn’t fully resolved either so far.
lemmy and its downvotes even though Nord Stream is a good example of transition from “bad Russia” to Ukraine most likely. I’m not saying that Russia is the most likely culprit, but a little caution should be in place.
As the others already said, it’s most probably russia, they just threatened to do it and no one else have the motive. But also I said, who even cares? and still you have to respond a pre made text about uncertainty.

I just referred to the obvious example for another high-seas sabotage action that wasn’t fully resolved yet, from the same war. The reason for that was to illustrate that it may take a while to see through spin.
