If I strictly apply rule 1, this should be removed. But at the same time, after talking with OP via PM, it is true that it is still kinda related to games.
For now I’m gonna keep it, but an update to the rules is needed, to better define and explain them.
Edit : After a night of sleep I have to admit I was mistaken here.
Still, I’ll talk with the other mods about better defining the rules, I feel like it is needed.
Yup, in retrospect my brain kinda betrayed me here.
The update I’d like to see here is to explicitly allow gaming hardware related topic in rule 1, to avoid having an overworked mod go on a moderation spree.
I know and don’t mind the jokes, you folks are doing a good job on communities that I follow. I started “teachers” and “education” subreddits a lifetime ago with a free-speech-absolutist mindset and quickly realized that they become a cesspool without someone grinding through reports 24/7.

Mod: Nah, it’s hardly related to video games, the rules have to be updated

This isn’t a great answer…
This is the best one
I’m a stickler for content appropriateness, but even I can see how a game company’s gaming console is related to gaming.
As a user this is content I would expect to see in this community and if the rules need clarification they should include posts like this.
Reading the notes in https://lemmy.world/post/2536430 (linked in the sidebar),
This post certainly relates to gaming, which to me means as currently worded fits rule #1.
Indeed it is. That was my mistake.
Please, Lord, let me never become a moderator, keep my reasoning intact.
Moderating isn’t as easy as it seem from the outside, and sometimes you can make mistakes, especially when tired. 😅

What is MP in this context?
He probably meant PM which stands for private message.
indeed. I was tired and used the French equivalent (“Message Privé”, thus MP). I should avoid moderating when tired next time
