Absolutely! I have two cats and I think it’s less work with two cats than if I had one. They keep each other company, they get exercise by playing, and they eat so little that it doesn’t even matter.
I have always gotten away with one litter box for two cats (17 years for the first pair). And I highly recommend getting a litter robot or something similar because it makes the litter box even easier to deal with.
