Here’s hoping they’ll fix a lot of the PC issues at the same time. I’d love to get it, but it needs to run decently and be fun.
I booted it up after the last couple of updates and I’m having fun so far. Performance is improved but definitely still an issue at least for me. Still only a small city but I have to put the graphics in potato or just accept frame drops :(
I refuse to play till they add custom assets. Some of these default buildings are absolutely massive and make zero sense in a small city/town
The last update added smaller schools, police, medical and fire buildings at least.
What do you mean by custom assets though, is that a modding capability they need to put in?
Haven’t played the game, or the original, so I might be missing some context here, but…
Custom assets would generally refer to user-created graphics and/or models that would be placed in the game (e.g., through mods) to replace the graphics of existing things in game (e.g., buildings), but they’d still have the exact same functionality of whatever they’re replacing.
That makes sense, I’d kinda assumed that they already had that in the game with mod support but if they don’t then they definitely should!
Eh, my bar is a bit lower. I want decent performance on mid-range hardware with a moderate size city and an interesting economy. It seems those are largely fixed now with recent patches?
For the most part, don’t use dlss though, there’s weird ghosting
