My son did a report on vaquitas a couple of years back in grade school. Beyond learning about them as animals and that they do not survive in captivity, it was an unfortunate lesson in the destruction of capitalism for such a young and already struggling young mind.

I really wish there was some sort of federal agency that worked on transplanting these dying species to New and protected habitats. I realize that sometimes this can end up causing invasive species problems, but there has got to be a way to do this as a compromise.
