1·1 day agoEx-mormon, the canon is that to go to “outer darkness” you need to have perfect faith in god, like you know he exists as you know your dog exists, and still deny him. So practically the only people on earth eligible to go there are those who’ve actually seen him or have been sufficiently convinced by one of his angels or miracles, or otherwise witnessed some heavenly shit like that that sheds all doubt, which is why Hitler probably didn’t go there. Also now that I’m remembering this, the “outer darkness” isn’t really a place, you just get shunned by god (light being a metaphor for god and truth)

Yeah, it might be just to arrest him, but America clearly doesn’t give a fuck. The fact of the matter is the people picked Trump this election, if nothing else arresting him will only galvanize his followers and legitimatize their own turn to fascism. There’s no good outcome in this scenario, we missed that opportunity on election night. It sucks but right now we’re the kid playing with fire; obviously we need to learn the hard way. We should’ve learned from the last trump presidency you say? Yeah, we really, really should’ve.
10·3 days agoThat’s what I’ve always thought. If they can do the pushups, runs, etc, then who cares about their gender? It doesn’t matter if women are statistically less capable in those areas if every individual is going to be evaluated anyway. Their is no good reason to filter recruits based gender, 'cept sexism obviously
Okay but YouTube suggested videos are genuinely way worse than they used to be. I can’t even fall down rabbit holes anymore. Trying to “curate” the algorithm is like swimming against the current. I can try and try to get YouTube to recommend me live music, but even when I manage to find something, the next video is going to be either a video I already watched yesterday or Rick Beato’s daily rant about the top 40. Every time.
I used to be able to spend hours just browsing, drifting from topic to topic. Now it’s like they’re trying to trap me in a loop of their most profitable videos

Lies and statistics. Out of the last 7 elections they also won 3. And out of the last 3 they only won 1. Really it’s a pretty even split so far this century, and counting this last election Republicans have had the edge. So sure the dnc isn’t losing all of their elections, but ffs sake they should be doing a lot better than this.

Edit: I reread the tweet a couple times and I think that your interpretation is correct. He specifically calls out corporations and donors as the groups that Dems should resist, and calls dems to focus on the electoral majority (like you said, potential voters) and if that’s what he meant then I agree with him.
