  • The first Dark Souls was 2011. Diablo was released in 1997. World of Warcraft was 2004 and while you didn’t quite drop all your stuff and money you die you did have to run back to your corpse to keep from having all your stuff degrade and cost a bunch of money. The first Sonic was 1991 and getting hit makes you drop all your “money” and have to pick it back up.

  • Nuts used to be a main staple of my diet, until I met my wife. My wife has a severe peanut and tree nut allergy, we have to check the ingredients on everything because anything that says “may contain” or " made on shared equipment" is potentially a trip to the hospital and just not worth the risk. Soft serve is some of the only ice cream she can have when we go out because of potential cross contamination from the scoop. We have to ask everyone what kind of oil they fry in if we go out to eat.

Mostly we don’t go out to eat, we just cook for ourselves and are very diligent about checking ingredients and the allergy warnings. I’ve bought chocolates and all kinds of stuff, even lentils one time, that I read through the ingredients and didn’t see any nuts or anything, but somewhere not near the ingredients is the allergy warnings saying may contain and I missed it.

    It’s all worth it.

  • Two cats, both have their own annoying thing. Black short hair bob tail: will get into any and all food if left out. Has learned to open cabinets and cupboard to get to hidden food. Has chewed through a cardboard box to chew through the bag of dog food, found him neck deep in the bag crunching away. Has chewed a hole in a canvas bag to get to dog food. Oh, and recently started peeing in the laundry. Long haired colorful: gets bored and wants to go outside, will wander the house screaming at the top of his lungs, clawing at every door. Happens anywhere between midnight and 3am, almost every night. Will bolt for the door if you have it open and aren’t watching for him. Where does he want to go? Rolls on his back in the road.

  • No. That 2% is with the membership, you get a certificate back every year based on what you spend in the store. The people talking about having to spend $3000 to break even are talking about this 2% return in relation to the membership fee. All the credit card rewards, cash back, or other points from whatever card you use are in addition, as well as all the discounted prices further reducing your cost burden.

Yes, you are paying 120 (130now I guess) for the privilege of spending less for more, with the additional benefit of making back that payment and more by buying the same things you would have bought from Walmart or wherever
