Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto homeassistant@lemmy.world•Recommendation on running home assistantEnglish1·10 days agoThis is the way!
N100 running all my containers including Jellyfin with NFS to the NAS and HAOS. It works beautifully. Never experienced as much as a hickup. 8W idle and <20 W under load.I know I’m late to the party, but if OP goes for a N100 NUC, he should repaste before starting. Factory used way to little and cheap paste.

In your humble opinion, of course.Cheers

It's having an effect, users are noticing and MAUs on their comms are falling!English91·12 days agoYupp. Be socialist or even fricking MAGA all you want, as long as we can discuss in good faith and stick to the facts.
The moment you say vaccines causes autism or that China is a democratic heaven, you can kindly kiss my posterior.

It’s not a difficult choice to make, mate
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Please seed !! Public torrents need your helpEnglish1·13 days agoI do it from home and do just fine.
My «trick» was to only download complete seasons and movies larger than 14 GB to get loads of freeleech to build ratio and just keep seeding them.I’m at >10 ratio on TL and stopped caring about sizes as the pool of old files outseed anything new I download.
But I get your point: seedboxes have made it a lot harder to do effortlessly from home
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•It's Friday - What are your plans for the week-end?English5·14 days agoI have loads of pieces I need to 3D print for the storage rooms Skådis boards to finally clean up the mess that’s been building over time.
Saturday is babysitter time for family and Sunday is hopefully BBQ day.Wish everyone an awesome weekend !
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What tv streaming platforms are you on?English8·14 days agoI’ve canceled them all and run Jellyfin and IPTV.
Got so sick of paying for literally six of them and still not finding the movie we wanted to watch.
I was heavily on your side untill the comma, man. Margherita is delicious and the ultimate test of the chef as there is nowhere to hide mistakes.
Does it qualify if I add basil after the cook?
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If you could have dinner with any celebrity, who would it be?2·24 days agoI agree. I think there is a reason we have the saying: Never meet your heroes.
Anyone I pick would in my mind have been built up to some impossible to live up to standard that they could never meet, so picking someone passionate about something I like seems like the better move.
Probably Linus Torvalds
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto Europe@feddit.org•Germany’s Next Chancellor Merz Ready to Supply Taurus Missiles to UkraineEnglish51·1 month agoDid the west ignore russias offer to completely withdraw from Ukraine so they could once again live in peace?
I must have missed that.Or are you just a russian shill thinking we should reward them for invading, raping, torturing and murdering thousands of people? Surely not, as that would be quite stupid…
How does the US being full of propaganda change the fact that China has a lot of censorship?
Both can be true at the same time, you know…
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto Buy European@feddit.uk•European tourism to the USA in free fall91·1 month agoYeah I think so too.
People have always talked about a long weekend in New York or a cruise from Miami.
Now it’s just dead. No mention of the US at all, other than the blithering baboon.Would not want to be a trans atlantic airliner this sunmer
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto 3DPrinting@lemmy.world•The Enshittification of 3D Printers – Are We Losing What Made Them Great?English1·1 month agoI think you make some good points.
We have a old, self built Creality at work that is modded extensively and I love printing with it, but at home it just wont fly. The missus wants to turn the machine on, send over the G-code and pick up nice things later. There is no point trying to convince her to spend hours and hours learning input shaping, filament drying temperatures or the upsides/downsides of dual gear extruders.
People are pissed at Bambu, and rightfully so, but for home users where the crowd needing pleasing is not super tech-savvy, Bambu is just a great alternative.
I think we need to stop looking at it as Bambu fucking up 3D printing. They are massively increasing the reach of FDM for people who just want stuff to work without putting in the hours, while the rest of us can keep using whatever we want, be it OSS or not.
Hopefully with the increase in users, the selection of filaments and third party upgrades will increase too. They are the only reason I was ever allowed to have a 3D printer in the house, which has already opened her up to letting me get a RatRig in the future. You know, because two printers are obviously twice as fast as one (!)
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto Mental Health@lemmy.world•Be honest, how are you right now?English5·1 month agoI’m gonna be honest and say I’m doing great man. For some weird reason, I always am.
I see from the rest here that I should probably not take that for granted.Wish everone an epic Sunday!
80€ ish for symetric 750 mbit.
Norway is high cost, so I’m quite pleased with it.
Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto politics @lemmy.world•The American Age Is Over - by Jonathan V. Last4·1 month agoI’d say no. Regardless of it being stolen or not, the amount of damage done with no (read: few?) checks and balances does not present the US as a democracy at all.
It should have been impossible, but he and his team have found and abused every single legal loophole there is and it does not seem like the majority of politicians are interested in fixing them.
It’s not trust inspiring when one person can write a presedential order overuling a literal constitunional amendment.
I don’t hate Americans. Most are great people, but I do hate their rotten to the core political system.
Probably not. Nintendo has gotten quite expensive.
My Switch is homebrewed so I already download the few games I want.
I’ll buy one if the geniuses out there manage to crack it so I can use it the way I want.

Bronzie@sh.itjust.worksto Buy European@feddit.uk•Outdoor gear 🏔️🥾 (we have so many brands)2·2 months agoAs a Norwegian, it hurts to say this but Hilleberg also make excellent tents.
Pricey buy you buy once and cry once.
I’m gonna try to make my 745 last as long as possible and see what direction they move in going forwards.
If more and more features will be locked behind the paywall, I’ll be looking at other options the day mine dies.
So, cool with new tech, but I’m not interested in the slightest in buying anything before we know what the future holds.
