Calling features “Security” when they significantly reduce the secondary market is a convenient way to increase profits.

In person at an apple store.
I bought an iphone used off a friend who stopped being my friend immediately after. I never wanted an apple product, but my phone broke, I was poor and he sold it to me for $50.
I didn’t know you needed the apple id and password to SIGN OUT of anything. I sent him messages, did the whole “click here to request a new password” thing so he would get an e-mail about it…to his apple e-mail which, let’s be honest, no one uses.
Not being able to use the full functionality sucked, but I could manage. What was worse was receiving pictures and messages intended for him.
I did what any sane person would do and brought it to the apple store. The first person who helped me repeated “Our security systems protect your privacy” so many times, no matter what I said, I lost my shit, shouted “I would like to sign out so I can stop seeing nudes of this guy’s girlfriend!”
They didn’t help and I bought an android.
I’ve gone back and forth on my opinion of pride and prejudice over the years, even held this opinion at one point. Like why the hell should I care about rich women who want to marry rich men?
Except taken in context, the book has a different meaning. Before Pride and Prejudice, there weren’t many stories about women in that time period. Since women in that class couldn’t really own property or run businesses, their lives depended on their family and ability to find a husband. Maybe what they experienced was banal by our standards, but it was life and death for some people, or the difference between a pleasant life and one of suffering. The stakes were high for something we treat as optional these days. It’s less or a morals story and more of an insight into social politics for women of the time, something that wasn’t widely written about until the book came out.
Is it good? That’s up to the reader. It’s unique and insightful literature, though.
I can’t be the only one who misread this as boeing and thought this was a weird analogy for boeing models.
Women face baldness as well, it’s less common but hair is seen as such a feminine trait I bet it’s devastating to go through that.
Weirdly worded, but when I repeated this to myself with a positive tone - it’s kinda true. Makeup can make you feel better about yourself. Feelings are valid. Everyone deserves to feel better about themselves.
First, I make popcorn.
Same. They offered a fair opinion, gave a reason, stated conflicts with their opinion and expressed an openness to other perspectives. The Internet: How dare you think you get more votes! I love it.
“I have the right to wipe my butt with a pinecone.”
I’ve had a lot of shits in the woods and a green pinecone is a great way to wipe your butt. Ideally, you want a pinecone that’s still soft but has ridges. With a firm grip on the base, you can gently drag it along your ass crack to scrape away poo matter. A nice, big wild ginger leaf and/or moss will clean up the rest. Old, open, dry cones are to be avoided, since their bits can break off and get stuck in the crack, necessitating an uncomfortable search for another pinecone.
I can’t “blow up” an image you screenshotted from a video your sister posted on facebook and make it look any better then a pile of angry pixel garbage. I can, however, remove the pause icon from your garbage picture.
Before I saw the sub, I thought this would be cool if it were done well. My reasons are:
My dyslexic, ADHD niece who loves to read, this could help her enjoy a classic she wouldn’t consider trying, and give her a sense of accomplishment. Instead of being restricted to simpler books.
Students with a different first language. My friends used cheats, coles notes and audiobooks to try to keep up in school. Books written like this would do more to help build literacy.

What is up with it’s ear. Why is the plant in the middle of the floor. Is that a fishtank on the floor behind it?
Because otherwise the thief would return the phone to it’s rightful owner?
