CryptidBestiary@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are your thoughts on inner martial arts?2·10 months agoWhile I’m not familiar with the practices of Tai Chi and its history, I am familiar with the stories and mysticism of “inner” martial arts and chi due to my cultural background. I’ve always been fascinated with martial arts and kung fu, and have recently taken up karate and its cultural histories. I also have a degree in kinesiology and will agree that the human body is such a complex and fascinating subject. The word “chi” or “ki” literally means air or in the context of martial arts, breath, and I will associate it as such. In every martial arts that I’ve seen, breathing is always a subject in the forefront. But as far as listening to tall tale stories and feats that chi can achieve, I always smile and nod but take it with a grain of salt
Hey cut him some slack. He just wanted to be a father really bad. Often male eagles will assist in taking turns brooding the eggs with the mothers and many other parental duties
CryptidBestiary@lemmy.worldto There Was An Attempt@lemmy.world•To act like a caring girlfriendEnglish3·1 year agoThat was painful to watch. I usually try to keep an open mind with these clips as we don’t have much context to go on but whether or not this was staged, it was really toxic and sad to see
Feng Shui is just an ancient Chinese way of saying “A E S T H E T I C S”
Not saying Buzz doesn’t deserve it, but he lives a better life than I.
My thought is that it helps the audience know what exactly they’re doing. Not saying it’s necessary because I think a good visual indication will let the audience know, but I think that’s what they were maybe going for.
People here are talking about fishes as our food source but what about fishes as a food source for other aquatic life? Or other animals that feed on those marine life? The effects can be far reaching. So the implication of a fish dying from plastic is a bit more complicated than what OP’s making it out to be
CryptidBestiary@lemmy.worldto > Greentext@lemmy.ml•Anon tries to mind his own business at the gym0·2 years ago“bull the lmao 65lbs off her neck” what?
This is a surprisingly relatable green text post. It’s definitely a hard situation to be in. I hope that anon and the gf both are in a better situation for their own mental health. It might not always be the key in solving everything but communication is important and can often help.
How ruff was his thesis though?
Welp, looks like it’s time to rewatch the entire series again
I mean, how can you not be?
Whenever someone rates people like that on these green texts, often than not, they’re the problem. Also did the OP just want someone to take care of him like a child? 2.5/10 too whiny

I think the idea is that the majority of the consumers and viewers of anime and manga are teenagers. To pull in that audience, the characters would have to be relatively the same age for the audience to relate to those characters.
