100% there are a lot of indie games worth trying
Sadly most of them are in early access and never get finished but they’re still fun

Doesn’t most cheapo aluminum have iron mixed in to make it more affordable? I worked at a machine shop a couple of months and I remember the shitty castings downright having iron bubbles inside them
Maybe Im just tired of games in general, bg3 was the kind of game I wanted to inmerse myself in but I couldn’t be bothered to read about random lore, I just kept going through the motions doing multiple playthroughs with different classes, alignments and love interests but that’s as far as I was able to get into it.
Which to be fair is still very deep but it’s not the same process of discovery it was when I was a kid anymore
Let me put it this way, when the games came out I would read every codex entry and mission description and do multiple playthroughs to see every possible scene, I have like 3k hours combined between the three games on record.
These days I just blast trough games and struggle to stop and listen to some audiolog
I know the lemmy hivemind jumps at any opportunity to trash reddit, but if properly implemented (which to be honest they probably won’t ) this could be the same as paid forums back in the day. It just depends on how much of a cut they get and how do they manage revenue share. If you could have your own private forum for free and have people subscribe to it for 2 bucks a month and you get 75% revenue of every sub it would probably spring a lot of high value forums, I’m mostly thinking like car forums used to be but it’d probably be used as another only fans
Nah it just has a different impact when you’re still filled with wonder and not just jaded and conditioned to just fill checklists, the gameplay of the games isn’t that good it’s all about the world building and the branching paths in the stories
If you’re in your teens the original mass effect trilogy, from the storytelling to the going through the different genres of games
Doubt the general consumer thinks that, in sure most of them are turned away because of the unreliability and how ham fisted most implementations are
The post literally talks about a mugger, if you really have armed militas just attacking people you might want to get out of the congo
Sounds like the wrong gun to carry for personal defense
We had the demo growing up, game always kicked my ass I have the look of the skeletized dead soldier portrait burned into my head lol
You can literally just download and use it, do you expect a free software not to have some sort of paid option in it’s site? All the paid stuff is for business use, if you’re just using it for yourself they don’t ask for payment info nor do they bother you to pay at any moment
I use it for free in android Linux and windows sooo no, I’m not sure we’re you’re getting that info from
I switched over to anydesk when TeamViewer started enshitifying itself, haven’t looked back it works great on all my devices, even my phone (as in I can control my PC from my phone I use it a ton)
Setup is super easy, just make sure to set up proper passwords for it, specially if you use public wifi
Yes, to be fair they did the same with the new years party, they’d do a collection between the employees to hire a place
Mind you there were around 300 employees in the company this is not a mom and pop shop we’re talking about
I miss most communities not being overly political, I’ve blocked more users and communities than what I’ve subscribed to in lemmy. I don’t want to doom scroll through a political hive mind (which I’m not even aligned with) when I’m on my phone
Reminds me of the pizza party my call center threw once. We had to pay for the pizza and bring our own drinks
This is lemmy, you’re not allowed a political opinion that doesn’t align with the hive mind, there are no other options
Might be a spoiler but the orphic hammer deals massive damage to the pillars, it’s kinda a big part of the boss fight that isn’t hinted at, also if you rescue hope she has a divine intervention skill ready to go.
This fight got a lot of patches over the years, i remember being able to use Tasha’s hideous laughter on Raphael the first times around but on my last playthrough I couldn’t get it to work even by scum saving
My current car was bought 2 km away from my house when I was 13, then it was sold to someone 40km away that happened to be the next door neighbour of my aunt before he sold it to an used car dealer who I bought it from.
I figured all of this out after buying it and it really felt like a small world
