I don’t think it’s on him for not knowing that when she agreed to marry an Entomologist. It’s nobody’s job to read their partner’s mind, they need to communicate likes and dislikes during the courting phase and I’m sure there were plenty of opportunities to bring that topic up.
Season 1 had a tried and true underdog cast that had to work hard and struggle and get by on luck, the scenes were packed with action, tension, and high stakes. Then, he had several chances to prove himself and grow stronger. After season one, it just became a sort of shallow political drama with tens of characters being given screentime to do nothing but talk, and a bunch of foreshadowing that the supposed underdog is some kind of demigod or something. Basically devolved into an excuse to draw far too young-looking girls in the lewdest situations allowed in the show’s rating category.
I didn’t watch 3 or 4 and I don’t intend to. I’d rate the show overall as a 0/10.

I hate to be so defeatist, but I honestly don’t even consider most voters to understand politics at all. Trump voters don’t realize they’re voting for tax cuts for billionaires, raises on everyone else, and a massive deficit. Biden voters probably don’t know anything he’s done in the last three years. Kennedy voters could be siphoning from either or both uneducated groups.
You and me having frequent discussion and access to unbiased news feeds, we’re a minority.

The first season of DanMachi was so good, reminded me of the Sword and Aegis of Uruk, but it went downhill so fast.
He’s still projected to lose according to composite polling like 270toWin, Rasmussen, RealClearPolitics, and fivethirtyeight. It’s hardly changed in months and it never looked great.
