Gotta get a pearl necklace to match the pearly gates!
I do, just put some toothpaste on the brush and start brushing. My toothpaste doesn’t have SLS and it immediately starts foaming once the brushing starts. Idk why people rinse part of the toothpaste from their brush before brushing their teeth. Maybe it’s chronic dehydration and your mouth is always dry or using super goopy toothpaste that needs extra help foaming?
I’ve been told to spit out the extra, but dont rinse. It’s supposed to help your teeth absorb the fluoride. Also been told not to eat or drink for about 20 minutes after, not just for fluoride aborption, but because brushing gets rid of a protective film over the teeth and they are more prone to wear and tear until it’s built up again.
I did not select his name in the ballot box
Many employers require a street address, it’s one of the reasons the homeless have a hard time improving their situation.
That’s not actually the original pride flag. That’s the one with 2 mission stripes that were taken away due to cost. The original had turquoise instead of blue and a pink and indigo stripe, so one color more than the rainbow. Rainbows have red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.
The 8 striped also symbolized different things. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow_flag_(LGBTQ)
I agree with what you’re saying. As they keep adding more things to the flag, it becomes cluttered and harder to see.
Ironic that all the paintings of Jesus show him with long hair.
I remember sitting and watching the stars or scenery when Oblivion first came out. There are a couple nice spots overlooking meadows or lakes where things are peaceful.
Also watching the sun rise in Hyrule field in Ocarina of Time. Although, that could have also been relief that the field was becoming safe.
Overlooking Lake Hyrule in Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess was also nice.
That works too, with measles on the rise, maybe that’ll help more people with hand washing.
That’s what the time machines are for. Gotta go back and make it a habit for your 3 year old self, so that it sticks with you more in your adult life. Basic habits like brushing your teeth before bed, washing your hands before eating, and others commonly taught to young children tend to stick better. I wonder if it’s more about the percentage of life with the habit, rather than current habit holding streak that helps keep the habit.
In the US, the labels suggest using distilled water or to boil tap water.
Some water is great in TX, however this could have been well water that wasn’t treated the same way as a city. Ive also lived on Louisiana, where they would issue boil advisories for tap water because the swamp water could have potentially mixed in with the water going into the treatment facility, increasing the chance of amoeba. It also depends on the pipe system being used. Given how expensive it is, cities don’t regularly change out all the pipes unless there’s a break in the water main and homeowners also don’t normally change out piped until a problem is noticed. If there’s a leaking pipe that you aren’t aware of, there could be contaminants making their way into the cracks.
The article says that this wasn’t just tap water, but tap water from her RV. So if she hadn’t cleaned the pipes or water storage tank in the RV, then the bug that killed her could have been on the RV side and not the tap.
I normally see a couple articles every year about people dying from a brain eating bacteria or amoeba from using tap water in a nasal rinse. It’s just safer to use distilled water, so that you know that nothing is in it.
Yeah, you hardly ever hear Christian gunman kills X children at school.
Sessions only take place for a few months every other year. To override a veto from Abbott in July 2025, the legislature would need to wait until early 2027. In order for the legislature to act more quickly to override a veto, they would need the power to call a session or there would need to be rules added to address the vetoes that take place after the legislative session is over. I suppose the governor could be given a deadline to sign, veto, or refuse to take action on a bill a certain number of days after the conclusion of a session and the legislature could have a mini session to discuss the bills that were vetoed or where action wasn’t taken for a predetermined amount of time after the governor’s deadline.
The governor has the power to call a special session between normal sessions to address issues. Those issues are supposed to be outlined before the special session starts. Obviously he’s not going to call a session to address a bill that was vetoed unless it was maybe vetoed over a couple small points.
They would need to have another session to vote to override the veto. So they’d also need a mechanism to reconvene, given they are only in session for 140 days every other year.
By extending that session or adding another, the legislators would need more time off from their other jobs potentially at a pay cut. Legislator are only paid for time in session.
Then legislative positions would be even more inaccessible to those not already wealthy.
TX legislative pay is $7,200 per year plus a per diem of $221 while in session.
“Therefore, the total compensation for a regular session would be $38,140 ($7,200 base + $30,940 per diem). Over a two-year term, the total pay is typically around $45,340 ($7,200 base pay x 2 years + per diem for one 140-day regular session). This relatively low base pay highlights that the legislators’ roles are often viewed as part-time public service rather than full-time career positions.”

Since when did people start accepting the Nuremberg defense?
Where do employers cover the cost of sommuting?
Yeah, it just keeps repeating itself and gets bigger each time. I meant my comment more to read that this is a repeating theme in the us.
They’re probably the same people that insist on calling pigs in a blanket, a kolache. A kolache, being a pastry filled with fruit, is a food first made in TX by Czech immigrants. It’s so disappointing when places say they have kolaches and it’s actually just pigs in a blanket.
Without them, we might have been able to boot Cruz from office a few years back when Beto was running. According to an exit poll at the time, native Texans largely for Beto and those that moved here largely voted for Cruz.
