Thomas, an engineer at a tech firm, had never had any problems visiting the US under the visa waiver program. He had initially planned to return home in October, but badly tore his calf, suffered severe swelling and was having trouble walking, he said. A doctor ordered him not to travel for eight to 12 weeks due to the risk of blood clots, which, he said, meant he had to stay slightly past 8 December, when his authorization expired.
He obtained paperwork from his physician and contacted the Irish and US embassies and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to seek an extension, but it was short notice and he did not hear back, he said.
“I did everything I could with the online tools available to notify the authorities that this was happening,” he said, explaining that by the time his deadline to leave the US had approached, he was nearly healed and planning to soon return. “I thought they would understand because I had the correct paperwork. It was just a couple of days for medical reasons.”

I was never wild about them but I am aging and they are becoming a more tempting prospect. I sorta have a dream type where is a fixy and the pedal assist allows for like an automatic type of gear shifting and does regenerative braking. So like a lot of assist to get going from start and up a hill but falling to nothing when going along. I swear I had a gearhub that allowed coasting but also a coaster type break but Im like not sure if Im remembering it wrong.
I never thought that much about these type of animals but they are my wifes favorite type and over time I have found them to be really cool.
to be fair the asian countries were invloved a bit in one of those wars.
friends, acquaintances, lovers, family. Being married I do sometimes thing about how my wife and I have become estranged from friends as people move and such and just a lack of time and we don’t replace them really. I like to think that you really can’t have expectations but just be nice and cordial with people you encounter and let relationships develop as they will or not. I dunno. Im not wild about hanging to much with work folks to much though and some have been people I could be good buds with but man I hate to bring work more into my life that it already takes.
I mean I think the way things have been going for awhile there are many many things that never see the light of day due to opportunity. I think it would be worse if not for free software licenses. There are 8 billion people on the planet and I can say for certain that ideas folks have and don’t talk about or disseminate will eventually show up but the more opportunity and reward is limited to a small subset the longer that will take.
cloudless does indeed remember correctly.
Whats funny is I geek out a bit on that because of the great lakes consortium and chicagos deep tunnel project. Not so much at individual home level though.
As someone who does not drink coffee but is married. Yes. It takes me forever relatively speaking to my wife.
