It seems like they brought it back to drive up traffic. They know people will put those things on it, but they can edit all they want and going over there to “protest participate” still drive traffic to their site. In 6 months when they tell investors how successful the last place event wad, no one is going to want to see the final picture, they’re just going to look at the numbers.

I sort by new to look for new communities that are active while lemmy grows. The purpose of the side bar is to let visitors, who potentially would want to engage with your community, what you’re about. Yours doesnt make any sense and you don’t seem to want anyone to understand so fuck you and I’ll just block your community. You must not have anything worth participating with is that’s how you engaged with new people.
