Well I think my Christmas gift to myself this year is now a RAM upgrade instead of a new Mac then. And I’ll add 12TB of storage to my media server.

Yeah, after Aliens (I like it better than the first one) the franchise went downhill. I still like the newer movies, but that James Cameron guy really seems like he knows a thing a two about how to make a good movie.
Which happens to be the one I have… :D
Wait… the 2018s are upgradable?
Huh. Yeah I haven’t followed it that closely, but I seem to remember talk around the releases of those movies that they were part of a trilogy of Ridley Scott directed prequels.
Maybe I’m misremembering, and I haven’t seen Romulus yet, but it doesn’t seem like part of that trilogy from the trailers. 🤷♂️
Oh, I didn’t think that was it.
I thought Ridley Scott was supposed to direct all 3 prequels and that Romulus was set after Alien 3
Wasn’t this supposed to be a trilogy? We got Covenant, where’s the third movie?
I did do some research and I’m now using Nemo! :D
I went to bed after I figured that out though, not sure if it helps my drive situation yet.
External drive connected by USB, formatted to FAT32.
Shows up readable, but not writable as default.
Nothing as far as I know. What’s the one for Mint called?
I’ve been learning Linux (Ubuntu) with an old Laptop a friend was going to throw away.
I like it, but I’m not ready to switch. My biggest complaint… why the hell is it so hard to access an external drive??
I eventually got it, but now I can’t for the life of me remember the command line I used to set access for the first one to set up another one.
iOS (and android) is also propped up by phone payment plans. My carrier offers me a new phone every two years for like $10/month which works out much cheaper than buying the phones outright.
If they were offering a Mac for the same deal every two years, people would upgrade those more often too.
The best use I could see for it is pausing Netflix as soon as I fall asleep.
CEO talks shit about Apple in an attempt to get bought out.
You can turn the alerts off…
I pretty much work every weekend now as a freelancer, but they can’t have my Tuesday night D&D!
It saves me from having to walk all the way around and bang my knee on the coffee table or whatever
Piss pipe, bro. Get on board!
No tub, but the shower yes. I could just run the pipe through the wall to the toilet tank… save money refilling that thing too!
It won’t change anything. The pedophiles are in power.
