Well I suppose some rando on lemmy isn’t going to change that.

It’s not false hope. It’s just a long journey ahead.
You obviously understand more about the details of US politics than I do, and perhaps getting rid of the electoral college isn’t realistic right now.
I get where you are coming from, this doesn’t mean we can just sit back and enjoy. But this kind of turnout is a good thing. Harris is going to win, and that’s the first step in the right direction.
I agree with you completely that need more than 2-4 years to correct the course. But we could get decades of actual progress if we just fix one glaring issue now.
We need to abolish the electoral college.
That alone would decimate any chances that the republican party has of winning a presidential election anytime soon, at least with thier current platform. It wouldn’t be everything, but it would be a damn good start.
Well I for one hope they figure out an alternative income, like a premium subscription? Or perhaps look to get acquired by proton and get some integration going with those services? I’m no expert here, I just think that they have a lot of happy users, and there must be some way to figure this out financially.
Looks like something else to try. This game is full of surprises.
I don’t think accuracy was the goal, it is a joke not a dissertation. It’s more about how it feels to try a language like assembly after working with higher-level languages.
I never go above +3. You will be swimming in consumables, and your other equipment needs upgrades too.
Nice comment. I like the detail.
For me, the main takeaway doesn’t have anything to do with the details though, it’s about the true usefulness of AI. The details of the implementation aren’t important, the general use case is the main point.
For me it is, apparently for you it is not. We have different use cases. That’s cool.
Just to be clear, I’m not here to judge. Everyone has thier own life with it’s multitude of little and big decisions. It would be presumptuous and ignorant of me to assume what applies to me also applies to you.
The focus should be on helping each other to make informed decisions.
That’s the price of privacy. Google has that traffic data because there are so many drivers with thier app installed. If you are OK with a giant corporation monitoring your every move, then of course that convenience is a good reason to use thier services.
Data is the new oil.
I have a prusa mk3 that I recently upgraded to mk4. They are expensive, but they are also super-reliable, they have great customer support, and they fully support 3rd party components. Not to mention the upgrades. After 3+ years as a mk3, the upgrade cost me about 700 EUR and it was like getting a new printer with modern specs.
You will save money in the long run, and a ton of nerves. Even if you are just looking to use it for a limited period of time, the resale value will be good.
Thanks for the explanation, and the incredibly entertaining game!
I feel that the stats themselves could still be helpful to see. Take the example of an evasion stat. It doesn’t show what the evasion % against a particular enemy is, but you could still compare various equipment to one another.
For example, if I compare a evasion-augmented +0 chain mail armor to a non-augmented +1 leather armor, which one gives me a higher evasion? That would be nice to see in numbers.
Accuracy too. How much more accurate is a mace compared to a flail? I know the damage difference in numbers, I’d like to be able to compare accuracy too.
The same is with blocking power. How much does earthen armor add? What damage will I do with a warrior leap on average?
And to keep the uncertainty of equipping unidentified armor, you could make such stats display “???” instead of a number until it’s identified.
Edit: This is of course all assuming you display the stats including equipment/effect adjustment.

He did it on porpoise.
I agree, that’s absolutely plausible. I don’t pretend to know enough to talk about likelyhoods and probability.
All that really matters is that the switch happened.
I’m starting to think this was a pre-planned bait and switch. Let MAGA and the Russian trolls waste thier energy and money going after Biden, painting him as old and senile. Then Kamala comes in and goes all scorched-earth on Trump.
Whether it was planned or not is not all that important though, the result is a thing of beauty.
You know thwy spelled them all wrong on purpose, right?
