Not necessarily. Proper LED drivers adjust voltage to feed them a certain specified current. The driver will decrease voltage and heat more if it’s a basic transistor circuit but smarter circuits will just chop the power more. Even if it does supply the higher voltage due to use of a basic resistor circuit, there should be some safety factor that keeps the emitters below max power, so having 8% higher voltage shouldn’t affect longevity much. There’s many variables. Obviously everything I listed is regarding ideal conditions

I’d like to answer as someone without nostalgia: yes it does. I played Odyssey in 2020 and IV 2022-current. The ship mechanics are very enjoyable to me. I beleive Odyseey made it more polished but I can’t actually remember how, so it must not be that important

If you’re a new homeowner and either have a lot to fix or a lot of projects in mind, a pickup is great. Daily driving it is useful for when you have to grab materials after work. I opted for an older $2000 Ranger 4cyl 2wd earlier this year for that so I’m not killed by fuel economy. It gets 20mpg on my commute but I do also split that with a 50mpg motorcycle. It’s also great for when you see random bulky things on the side of the road you want. I did start with a 4x8 trailer but it’s not as convenient. I admit, part of that was because my wife s car was the only one with a functional hitch.
But I’m talking a Ranger. Like an F-050. 115hp. This little guy has hauled so much already. The only thing it can’t technically do is tow a car and I don’t have the capital left to buy a nonrunning project car. I’ve been eyeing the new Maverick in hybrid form. But maybe by time I have the cash for such a new vehicle I won’t be doing reno projects anymore
Does it have transition animations or is it actually smooth? Asking from Elite Dangerous where the transition sequences feel pretty immersove to me. Each solar system is an instance with a wormhole jump between. Sublight and FTL have a charge/dropout sequence. The worst is switching between ship/rover/foot where the screen goes black and you hear footsteps. So what does SC do?

That’s not a very lofty breakeven for EV owners coming from hybrids. I don’t know how ex-hybrid owners compare to those only chasing the latest tech trends or those coming from comparable luxury cars. I doubt the people who bought it for acceleration are significant.
All that to say, seems fair. The roads have to get fixed and there’s a case to only charge the users. There’s also a case to not make the cost of entry to a public service any higher, but that’s rooted elsewhere. It will be $250 the year after and adjusted for inflation after that. So not that great, but electricity is still way cheaper than the gas itself if you can charge at home.

Because something that gets lost in the two party system is that, at its core, there’s the conservative side trying to make things best for their majority group and then there’s a dozen different types of liberals trying to make the world better in their direction. One side wants to revert back, one “side” is pulling in a hundred different directions. Should we tackle education first? Financial responsibility? Human rights? Social safety nets? Pollution? Climate change? National interest? Global interest? There’s so many different topics that liberals want to progress forward in an order each individual determines. It’s not a single liberal force, it’s a hundred forces in a trench coat. Conservatives (of any country or topic) are some kind of incumbent majority/dominating demographic while the alternatives all fall under “liberal”. So the only thing that consistently unifies the democrats is what they don’t like
