The next American Olympics is scheduled for Summer 2028. America, and the world, will be a much different place by then. I expect that we will have an Olympics of mostly authoritarian nations, and no Democratic nations.

And there will be lots of ludicrous world records set, because they will fuck with the timings. These guys can’t do anything without cheating.

  • Such nonsense. Musk was along for the ride on the recent Middle East trip. The staff may hate him, but HitlerPig is keeping him close. He’s going to need him to hack the next few elections.

If things are quieter, it’s only because his board threatened to replace him after that disastrous earnings call, which has to have stoked threats of a shareholder lawsuit. The stock tanked as a direct result of his irresponsible behavior, which has done irreparable damage to the company’s brand image, and the stockholders aren’t going to just accept the loss of millions of dollars.

So he’s keeping a low profile right now, until things cool off, but his presence on the Mideast trip means HitlerPig still wants him around.

  • Back in the 90s, my wife once briefly worked for the largest health care company in our state, working with a lawyer whose entire job was to go through the files of patients who had been diagnosed with chronic or expensive issues, and find a reason, any reason, to deny them. This lawyer was very, very good at her job, and routinely invented reasons to deny people the health care that they had been paying for over years, just when they needed the coverage the most. She was a one woman death panel, and she sentenced people to death, or suffering, every single day.

This started as a temp job, and every day my wife would come home feeling terrible about what this woman was doing, and supporting her efforts as her assistant. Then one day she came with the news that they had offered her a permanent position, which is why she was temping in the first place.

I’ve never seen anyone so unhappy about a job offer. I had a good job, and we didn’t NEED the money, but it would be nice. She felt obligated to take this job, but it was clear her soul was highly conflicted. I had also been conflicted about this job, and told her that under no circumstances was she to accept it, and the relief on her face was obvious.

She ended up with a different job that fit her much better, and didn’t require her to be a functionary in Corporate Serial Killing.

Years later, Sarah Palin started yammering about the “death panels” in ObamaCare, and I thought “the insurance companies already have death panels, why isn’t anybody worried about that?”

  • All insurance is gambling. They are betting that you’ll pay thousands in home insurance or car insurance, and never make a claim, like most people. It’s a good bet for the insurance companies.

But Health Insurance is different. Unlike your house burning down or your car getting wrecked, which seldom if ever happens, EVERYBODY gets sick, and eventually dies. It’s ALWAYS a losing bet for the healthcare insurance companies. They have no choice but to rig the game so they can win.

That’s why we need to forget about Health Care INSURANCE, and think in terms of Health Care MANAGEMENT. That needs to be in the hands of an entity that isn’t motivated by profit, and that’s the government. EVERY other country in the world understands this, but America is a Ferengi nation, and we literally worship profits. And I mean LITERALLY - Prosperity Doctrine is the most powerful religious philosophy in America at the moment.

We once had a whole family of cats - father, mother, and three kittens - and the one male kitten, Charlie, absolutely REVERED his father, Jake. He would often sit or lay next to his Papa, always taking the same position.

One of my favorite photos was when Jake was getting old, with his fur getting raggedy, and he was looking out a window, with Charlie next to him, in the same position, but with his front leg over his father’s shoulders, comforting him.

They’re both gone now, but I hope they are together, wherever they are now.

  • I knew she was going to invoke Lincoln’s name, they like to do that every chance they get, as if Lincoln wouldn’t be HORRIFIED by them claiming him as one of theirs.

Lincoln suspended Habeus Corpus because he was in a highly unusual situation, and even so, he was very uncomfortable ordering it. DC was the capital of the Union, and Richmond was the capital of the Confederacy, and both cities were extremely close to each other. The streets of DC, and the surrounding states of Virginia (Confederate), and Maryland (Union), were filled with Confederate operatives and spies, attempting to interfere with military operations, and even plotting to assassinate the President.

The Constitution allows for the suspension of Habeus Corpus in:

Article I, Section 9, of the Constitution, which specifies a suspension of the writ “when in cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it.”

Lincoln was faced with an actual rebellion, America is not facing a “rebellion or invasion” of any kind, no matter how much HitlerPig wants to characterize the issue of undocumented immigrants.
