I’d agree with you, but much of the younger generation didn’t have the pleasure of growing up with him. Many youngsters only know him as the “pale blue dot” guy.

If they include Sagan as Tyson’s predecessor, then why not Nye’s predecessor, Mr. Wizard?
Exactly. My daughter will die one day. I vote and protest for climate friendly policies because I want her to die of old age instead of starvation due to widespread famine.
You can’t expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some compromised Justice threw immunity at you.
Maybe it would work if they played round robin instead of winner stays on.
There have been several polls of Kamala vs. Trump. She barely surpasses Biden in some when the poll brings “fitness” into question, and polls worse than Biden in experience. That’s the real problem.
You right. I think it’s reactionary nonsense to be calling for him to pull out of the race without a stronger candidate on the bench.
The US was downgraded to a developing nation.
The U.S. currently ranks 21st on the United Nations Development Program’s index, which measures fewer factors than the sustainable development index. Good results in average income per person – $64,765 – and an average 13.7 years of schooling situate the United States squarely in the developed world.
Thanks. I think I need a song for that and Burma/Myanmar. I never forget now it’s Istanbul not Constantinople.
These are the states that are attempting to, or already have, put abortion rights on the ballot in November for state constitutional enshrinement. As stated above, this will only matter if Biden wins in the fall.
It’s not a bad idea. His “scandal” won’t mean shit next to Trump’s. I’d still like to see some polls of his potential before we start calling for Biden to step down.
There’s also never a suggestion of a candidate that can pull off a win with a four month campaign in any of the articles calling for Biden to step down. It’s not constructive criticism. Without a proposed solution, it’s just condemnation.
The “someone else” is the part I’m more concerned about than his stepping down. Who would ensure a win with a four month campaign?
With all these calls for him to drop out, there would need to be a viable replacement that could ensure a win with a four month campaign. I’m concerned that it’s just as risky to change the horse this close to the race.
Well said. The US should learn from Czechoslovakia’s the Czech Republic’s emphasis on education.
The Czech education system is based on a long tradition beginning in 1774, when compulsory school attendance was instituted. The current literacy rate in the country is above 99%.

They are very hurricane resistant designs for traditional construction. The buildings are mostly cinder block, with a wide footprint, and a low pitch roof. The roofs get torn off when there’s a low pressure pocket above the building. Domes or underground dwellings would be ideal, but the cost is far greater than traditional construction.
Their bigger problems are food and communication.
”There is literally no vegetation left anywhere on the island of Carriacou; the mangroves are totally destroyed, the boats and the marinas significantly damaged," he said. “There is almost complete destruction of the electrical grid system in Carriacou. The entire communication system is completely destroyed.”
Good. That shit is cringeworthy and internationally embarrassing.
Us? We were granted no such immunity.
They’re not gaslighting. Did you read the article, or just the headline?
