Interesting. Thanks for the recommendation!
Interesting. Thanks for the recommendation!
Yeah, that’s a different kind of creepiness.
How are you liking the Scolomance series?
Haha yes. It’s good enough that I don’t want to quit it, but I just keep finding more interesting things to read.
Yeah, Solo Leveling is a good one, I binge read it when I started it.
For Deathlands, I am thinking about going the e-book route. I prefer physical books, but there are some series that are so long and/or old that they aren’t easy to get.
I haven’t read that one. According to wikipedia, Asimov called it his worst novel, what do you think?
How are you liking the series?
I think someone mentioned “Will Save the Galaxy for Food” before, but even if didn’t, any comparison to Douglas Adams immediately puts that book in my wishlist. Going to check it out.
John Scalzi, as I may have mentioned before, is a weird writer for me. I have been following him on different social media for many many years, but I have never read any of his books. I should rectify this soon. Thinking about ordering his Old Man’s War series soon.
This reminds me of creepypasta (whatever that means) from reddit about stairs in the forests. It was pretty creepy.
I know the feeling. Good luck!
Ah okay, thanks for the info.
Slow and dense, but that could just be me. It’s also possible I didn’t like the start because of my expectations. I was expecting a sci-fi, and while it is a sci-fi, it’s a very different kind of sci-fi.
On Stranger Tides is one of his most known work, so will give it a try.
It’s generally “pique my interest”, though interest can be peaked too. Don’t want to nitpick but not everyone has English as their native language, and that’s how you learn. :-)
When I read 1984 I was surprised to see how many of those things are actually happening today. Would love to hear what you think about it when you have finished the book.
Is this narration of original light novel, or a modified script made specially for audio book?
Will check it out, thanks for the recommendation!
Heh, congratulations on finishing the book! Any reviews?
And what are you going to start next?
Oooh, starting The Wheel of Time series. Good luck!
It’s pretty long, and is giving me Stephen King vibes. I am still within first 100 pages or so, which isn’t even 10th of the book.
How are you enjoying it? My Tim Powers experience wasn’t very conclusive, I need to read more of his work to see if I like it or not.
How are you liking the Vampire Chronicles? These were my first vampire books and I really enjoyed them. At least the first 3, don’t recall what I thought about the next ones. I do feel I read first 6, till The Vampire Armand, but not sure.
Sounds interesting, will check it out.
