Sometimes I would sit in a noodle bar and just watch NPC’s come and go. It really does feel like this game got so close to a living, breathing world, but there just wasn’t enough hours put into the small details of certain areas.
They could just setup auto moderator rules to bury all new posts
I think it was a motion sensor at one point. The face plate fell off and it had the standard blurred plastic that is on most of them.
I’d like to hear whether return2ozma believes this or is just posting for points. It seems very out of character for them to post this article.
Honestly I have no idea where they terminate. The keypad doesn’t work. I’ve tried pressing buttons on it before and nothing happens. I was going to cut and cap the wires, but figured I’d double check ahead of time.
I have other electrical work I need done, so may just lump this into the same work order.
They’re going to get sued into oblivion, so that’s one alternative path forward.
They could have bought the game out and lumped it into their existing games. Alternate dimension Pokémon anyone?
Good question 🤔
Last I read this morning it was still a category 4 and never made 5.
Helene was only a category 4 and did this amount of damage. It’s insane.
There are many more we won’t know about until next week. This is a national tragedy.
I could not for the life of me get into frostpunk, but IXION was pretty good.
We don’t grow our crops in a desert. They grow in very specific regions of the world, often in areas that are suitable due to natural formations and easily obtainable water. Most of Canada is forested land that is uninhabited with no infrastructure such as roads, running water, or electricity - not to mention there has never been a large agricultural presence in those areas, so it would have to be started from scratch, if it is possible at all.
When you say we’ll huddle around the proverbial fires, it might be a very small human population. Our civilization (likely including both of us) probably won’t be around at that point.
Whoa there pardner.
That’s like going into a church and telling everyone you didn’t like Jesus at first, but warmed up to him once you read the Quran.
Plants don’t grow without light. Plants can’t survive extreme heat and drought.
Once it gets too hot or too dry to grow crops, it won’t matter anymore. Call me a doomer, but we aren’t doing enough to stop that future from happening.
Every republican who voted to send weapons to Israel is complicit as well.
Social media is bad, but it’s worse when gamed and algorithms feed you shit. At least Lemmy lets you federated and it isn’t commercial.
As a native Seattleite, I try my best to at least acknowledge people with a head bob. Sometimes I’m not feeling a conversation and just try to shut it down quickly.
“Your dog is beautiful!” “Oh yeah, haha, she’s a good girl.” - and keep walking
I disagree that leaving things unsaid is the best approach to online discussion, especially when it comes to soundbite level social media like Lemmy and Reddit. Doing this puts forth the position that only one thing needs to be said, which is underhanded and intellectually dishonest.
You’re absolutely right that both mainstream parties in the US are closely related in policy, so it is a failure of those arguing against the Israeli genocide to not call this what it is: a governmental policy problem, not a single party problem. Saying “democrat bad, support Israeli genocide” while ignoring the opposite party just because it is not in power is a failure to point out the root cause of the issue. If we don’t want to support any genocide, we need to make sure that no matter what party is in power, it doesn’t happen.
I’ll ignore the fact that you disagree with their economic policies for now and continue to focus on the fact that this is a systematic issue, not one that is beholden to one party or the other.
You’re 100% right. There is no way this action doesn’t cause harm.
That said, what should they do?
