I asked about this for Mlem and was told there is something in the api that says there are new posts and how many, but nothing that says which are new.

Imagine putting this much effort into something you dislike instead of something you do like.

I use the app on my iPhone and my iPad, they both have lists of servers available to use. I have never used it via command line.
