11·3 days agoSure I guess if you can manage to get everything to work in the first place which involves following sixteen different guides across twenty-three different websites all of which with conflicting information.
27·4 days agoFunctionally speaking the distinction is negligible. Users won’t be able to download patches from the site, and new patch submissions won’t be accepted.
1·5 days agoI use firefox and keep Chrome on my PC for this reason. Off the top of my head:
I can’t use Siyuan correctly, my main editor, in Firefox. It only registers the initial backspace key press.
I do telehealth, and the voice/video will not work in firefox no matter what I try.
Live-reloading for Ruby on Rails projects doesn’t seem to work on firefox.

11·14 days agoThey’ve been doing stuff like this for years. In 1990, a Florida judge ruled that an album by 2 Live Crew was obscene, and police officers went into stores and threatened to arrest anyone who sold copies of the album. The obscenity law specifically requires a “lack of serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value” and they were able to get it appealed.
Reading the article it’s actually more insane than it first appears. He’s been doing it for two years. This wasn’t an investigation ordered by a court, it was evidence he himself was compiling for his own legal complaint, which was dismissed when finally brought to the DA.

I stopped looking into Odysee after I heard LBRY was shutting down. There doesn’t seem to be much transparency on what the future of the site is. Also echoing the concern that some have already raised, the complete lack of moderation is a double edged sword that seems to have fostered a home for right-wing extremists.
