Sometimes there’s nothing wrong with enjoying your favourite comic book characters on screen, like watching a live action cartoon. Comics don’t make sense all the time, or cartoons, comic book movies don’t have to either.

If that’s not for you, than to each their own.

I’ll also say I haven’t enjoyed many DC / Marvel movies for awhile but not because they don’t follow their rules. That’s their secret… They have no rules.

Okay I may be wrong there but I don’t know offhand one rule a comic story hasn’t broken at a new point. I also don’t read a ton of them but I know they change their mind a whole lot. Also physics goes out the window when you take into account many comic characters. Sure ant man said this, who says ant man was correct?

The big finish stories gave me much more appreciation for 5 / 6 / 7, they all have such great adventures and once they find their groove are very well produced. I only add that last bit after listening to the very first handful of stories, they needed a bit of time to get things great.

Of course 8 we hardly saw, and the movie was meh but I think I enjoy his stories almost the most. I’m a bit of a 7 fan for the audio, maybe cause I always thought Ace was a fun companion but the rolling Rs are fun to listen to heh. Though I haven’t listened to much passed their 100 so need to get more.

I’ll admit, I found first three doctors more rough to watch and only watched a handful of 1-3, more 3 than 1 and 2 for sure. Does make me curious on those episodes though, I do enjoy seeing first and early appearances of major characters/species in series when they’re still being fleshed out.

I’d hazard a guess he always uses the royal we, I haven’t analyzed it in depth but he really can’t think outside himself. No imagination what so ever,all his attacks are just whatever he does or thought of (well maybe some aides helped). I imagine if I knew more about narcissism it’d tie in there but I have zero studying to comment on that.

If he wasn’t such an asshole with zero self awareness, it’d be enough to pity him, but he is so fuck Trump.

Huh I thought the one story they did was the origin story, since it has the appearance of the first Cybermen (well they had a few around already) and Mondas had some people still. I forget the name but I think it’s #5 and Nyssa, this sounds like it may be a bit before that but also sounds like the doctor may trip over himself if it’s not much earlier.

I see what you’re saying, when you said put it out of your mind it more sounded like forget about it, which isn’t helpful when people see a problem, but you have to know what you can reasonably impact. There is usually more that can be done but time and money are limited. Many people don’t have the time to campaign for ideas which in itself is an issue with the way things are run in my opinion.

Depends on the reaching of the action, even if the event was out of their control but going to impact them, say an invasion or war breaking out at their location it’d be warranted. However in a general sense I agree, it causes undue stress if there’s nothing directly they can change.

People thinking like that is how we get some people fighting for rights, the current fight may not directly impact them but they can see how it’ll impact things in the near future when more rights are changed. I mostly agree with not adding undue stress but sometimes it can be difficult to know when it’s undue or warranted because it can happen quickly once the ball starts rolling.

Makes me think of the novel cryptonomicon where the guy had to encrypt and decrypt every message on his finex (may be misremembering that one) laptop.

For those that aren’t familiar it’s from the late 90s so tech is dated but a pretty fun novel that deals with cryptography, by Neal Stephenson, long but enjoyable.

Dunno what OS’s it supports besides Windows but I use Kdiff for random comparisons regularly, I think it works pretty well untill you get to much larger files (20+ MB slows down a lot). The huge file wasn’t code but needed to check output changes for those curious.

I constantly check git comparison with previous versions to see what changed to break things in a build though. Didn’t know there was a way to diff any files in git,should probably just learn to use that one.

After reading a walkthrough I’m confident I beat at least one round of the game, heh, maybe I misinterpreted that for the game ending screen (he gets on the spaceship at the end of the round for those that don’t know)… If there’re no pits in the first round I believe I made it further than that at because I remember them well.

Though with my memory these days I’m happy when I leave work with everything I intended to so not saying it’s completely accurate I mostly just remember ET getting on a ship.

Was ET actually difficult or just unclear how to progress? I swear I finished it when I was a kid but the amount of games I’ve finished in my life is extremely tiny, if things get too hard I just go play something else for awhile (looking at every stealth mission shoehorned into non stealth game). So maybe I just misremembered finishing it but I sure played it a lot before I got an NES.

Well hopefully you have it when they ask randomly some time. I was carded the first time in almost a decade, was a surprise but gotta be ready for it when you purchase age restricted products. If anything someone as a governer should be happy people are checking, as annoying as it is, since the rules are (supposed to be) for all.

Well Trump has no imagination so that’s simple for him, not sure I’d say that about all conservatives, just the simple ones. The ones that have an imagination are possibly more dangerous but least none of them are running for president…this time.

That said can you imagine how stunted someone would have to be not to have an imagination? If so you’re probably better off mentally than half the presidential candidates.

There’s no where like that for rich( or pretend to be billionaire?) orange people that I can find. If he was noticably poor I bet something could be figured out without much hassle.

Such a shame there’s no institutional protection for the pretend billionaire oompa loompa class when they invite violence.
