I started disabling JavaScript by default with uBlock Origin a few months ago. I am surprised to report that a bunch of sites work fine without JavaScript.

There are definitely some sites that actually need it, and for those, it’s just one click to permanently allow for that site. But most of the sites I need work better with just CSS and HTML because there are no stupid nags or social media sign-in buttons that pop-up anymore.

I have the ZSA Moonlander and Voyager keyboards. I like them a lot.

I also have the Ploopy Adept and Nano mice that also run QMK.

I bought all of them preassembled. I’d love to know what other brands are out there that sell preassembled peripherals that can run open firmware.

+1 for Ploopy mice. I have the Ploopy Adept, and I’ll never go back to another mouse. They mostly make trackballs, but they do have a “regular” mouse if trackballs aren’t your thing.

The biggest problem with Ploopy is that they only seem to make mice for people with bigger hands, so if that’s not you, you’re kind of screwed :/

Seriously. I’m really into keyboards with QMK, but I buy prebuilt keyboards and mice that are capable of running it because if using QMK required me to solder something, I wouldn’t be able to. Soldering is a skill that most people don’t have.

That’s an interesting way of framing Russia ending the world in a nuclear holocaust because Ukraine didn’t want to be a part of Russia’s sphere of influence.

It would be best for everyone if Russia would stop the escalation, and I hope they do. If not, we have to find a better solution to imperialism than appeasement, because that doesn’t work long-term either.

Yeah. The far-right border bill that aided in the demonization of immigrants we’re seeing today. The fact that so many democrats attached their name to it only served to launder the right’s racist fear-mongering about immigrants.

Fuck that bill. It’s bad policy and bad politics.

Too bad Biden put forward a far-right border bill that laundered the right-wing narrative that there’s a “border crisis” and that people are flooding in. Fast-forward a few months, and here we are.

The politicians that attached their names to that bill are in-part to blame for legitimizing the racist, anti-immigrant lies we’re hearing today.

Dems need to grow a spine and meaningfully protect minority groups instead of naively aiding the right in demonizing them.

Animals (human, and non-human alike) need nutrients to survive. They don’t need those nutrients to have come from some other poor animal, and carnists that insist that is the case are engaging in anti-science magical thinking. We can do amazing things with science, including synthesizing almost anything you can imagine.

However, last I looked around for plant-based dog food, it was pretty heavy on lentils, which I’ve heard can cause heart enlargement in dogs. Have further studies been done on this, or, have plant-based dog foods that don’t rely on lentils been made available?

I just stumbled across the modlog page on my instance, and right up at the top were like 20 logs of asinine carnists getting banned for trying to spew their fallacies here.
