It’s definitely possible lmao. Over the last 20ish years, my mom went from reluctantly voting for her first democrat to now sending me openly communist media and praising China.

The example that helped things start to click for me was the relationship between poverty and charity. At first glance they feel like opposites, poverty is a lack in essential needs, charity is an concentration of those essentials, distributed to those without.
But once you think about it some more, the only reason there is poverty is because some people have hoarded enough resources that they can dole them out as charity. Charity can only exist if poverty does, and poverty can only exist if the conditions for charity exist. Each contains the seed of the other within it, and they push and pull on each other. The more poverty there is, the more need for charity there is. The more charity exists, the more poverty that there must be. This is a dialectical relationship.
They’re sick as hell
Yo hit me up once you start talking Hilbert and Sobolev spaces. That’s when the real hits
I remember a very long time ago reading this guy’s blog where he detailed his experiments with polyphasic sleeping schedules. Dude claimed he slept only a couple hours a day, in 20-30 minute increments every 4 hours or something. At the time I just thought it sounded wild and like a kind of cool idea.
Now I just remember how he said it gave him more time to work, which makes me sad.
Lol seeing CPUSA members on Twitter retweeting Kamala and the fucking Lincoln Project for Christ’s sake. They’re never beating the allegations.
Also seeing them dismiss this entire thing because the liquidated chapter had no black members. Which is a fair criticism, but is hilarious that they avoid all the other valid points. I’ve seen this a lot from CPUSA people on Twitter when there’s any criticism of the party. It’s always the form of the critique that makes the substance not worth addressing. Doesn’t really instill confidence in your party
Lol the wifi at my academic institution blocks all .ru sites and rt.com (which they did without telling anyone) and they publicly blocked all Chinese social media including TikTok and WeChat. But yeah, we’re the free ones
Tossing around big numbers to estimate things like this is so fun, thanks for the write up!
