This isnt AI art. Its a long series of this style by the same artist. Peek the danbooru source, slightly horny at times and i dont like all of em but pretty good.

You can live between 0 and ~1XX years and you can travel between 0 and x km where the largest case for x is probably the people on the ISS.

So rectangle might make sense but obviously there is no chance for someone that dies as a infant to have traveled as far as an adult. Also the people on the ISS probably wont be the oldest people alive. So the edges would have to be cut off diagonally of sorts.

Or is this more like a “This is the scale of things that humans can observe” type of thing.

So we can see close stuff and really far stuff like stars and we can practically observe from milliseconds up to a century.

I think he can be a bit of an ass, but he is also the victim of out of context clipping a lot.

I dont argue with people about this, because i sleep well knowing that windows days are numbered (simply due to its parent companies structure) while linux/bsd will undoubtedly continue to thrive for decades if not centuries. A little bit of healthy superiority complex is great.

All you need is a federated link aggregator like lemmy/mastodon with a UI made for videos.

You post a link to whichever video hosting service and attach a bunch of metadata (thumbnail, description, tags) and the comment section is built in already for each post. Nobody cares where a video is hosted, as long as they can follow creators and topics.

It looks like it will be on prem, but then i dont even understand why they would involve amazon at all? Just use the existing public solutions. As soon as any major part of a system that is connected to the internet has proprietary code in it, you cant really trust it to protect secret information anymore.

Well yes and no. For one there is lots of metadata like access times, the IPs that connect and their locations, traffic amount, etc.

But also like with all “cloud solutions” you are just outsourcing your uptime reliability issues. And for a system like that, im not sure outsourcing that is a great idea.
