Israel says it is cutting off its electricity supply to Gaza. The full effects of that are not immediately clear, but the territory’s desalination plants receive power for producing drinking water.

Sunday’s announcement comes a week after Israel cut off all supplies of goods to the territory to over 2 million people. It has sought to press Hamas to accept an extension of the first phase of their ceasefire. That phase ended last weekend. Israel wants Hamas to release half of the remaining hostages in return for a promise to negotiate a lasting truce.

Hamas has pressed to start negotiations on the ceasefire’s more difficult second phase instead, which would see the release of remaining hostages from Gaza, the withdrawal of Israeli forces and a lasting peace. Hamas is believed to have 24 living hostages and the bodies of 35 others.

Why don’t you ever blame the people voting for establishment politicians?

They’re also sticking to their moral convictions at the cost of human lives since it’s becoming clear that the “fall in line crowd” actually isn’t falling in line.

Perhaps the people voting for establishment politicians should take their turn “falling in line” if they care so much about human lives? They’d have to sacrifice some of their greed and entitlement though! I don’t think it will happen in my lifetime.

What of the tens of thousands of dead and mutilated Palestinians at the hands of American bombs, jets, and funding from October '23 to January '25? If those deaths don’t matter to you then why do these deaths matter to you? Or could it be that you don’t really care either way and just want to use it as a political football?

I think we’ve found the answer!

You roped yourself into “political posturing” with your previous comment doing exactly that.

I don’t know how genocide becomes “even worse.” Care to explain that or is it that “its worse for the rest of the world too” and now that you’re personally affected it, it’s suddenly an issue.

If you’re replying to a comment with weak ass arguments you have to expect a slap back or just stfu.
