Youtube is imperfect but it’s a sprawling place filled with a vast array of cool stuff made by all kinds of people. I struggle to see this as a bad thing. One company cannot and should not own any market forever. Disney isn’t entitled to being kids’ go-to forever.

I would have eaten YouTube for breakfast, lunch as dinner as a kid. Self-directed learning is much more fun than literally anything else I’m supposed to be doing.

100%. The educational channels didn’t really pick up until I was an adult, but I think I would have been a better adjusted kid and probably a more functional student if I had those things at a younger age. (Though the comedy of early YouTube was pretty rad).

Until they pick up content of adults screaming like lunatics about a homebrew horror game after any single thing happens in the game, my kids aren’t gonna watch D+

YouTube kids is such a cancerous place. I’d definitely want my kids to just stick to Disney+

We haven’t hit that point in capitalism yet.

Won’t be surprised if they go for google or M$ or vice versa. Would be the next natural step in owning everything from the movies to the devices you play them on.
