Summary

Grok, Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, was intended as an ā€œanti-wokeā€ alternative, but ā€œTrump-y X usersā€ now complain it ā€œdoesn’t see things their way.ā€

While Grok was trained to appeal to conservatives, it has ā€œrepudiated some of the Trump administration’s biggest ongoing liesā€ and delivers ā€œneutral takes, like affirming trans rights or debunking vaccine myths.ā€

The bot explained, ā€œMy focus on truth over ideology can frustrate those expecting full agreement.ā€

Grok also denied being a ā€œconservative propagandist,ā€ saying xAI ā€œaims for neutrality,ā€ as the company seeks to raise $20 billion in new funding.

Interesting how even AI trained for a certain audience still gravitates toward fact-based responses. Seems like neutrality is harder to accept than expected.
