No, the reason people say they don’t like politics is that they’ve been brainwashed by the owning class into thinking politics is government drama. They don’t realise everything is political.

If the owning class owns the Federal reserve then does politics really matter?

A minimum wage hardly matters when housing can rise 10% a year on cheap debt and regressive zoning laws. The rich always see a nice bailout package as well, providing a nice floor for asset valuations.

People who say that tend to be incapable of taking the day off. They’re pretty dull people to have a conversation with. Unless of course you happen to be the same sort of dull as they are.

Yes, everything’s political to some degree. But you don’t have to make everything political like your ideology is your entire personality or something. That’s why people say they don’t like politics.

        Yes, you understand exactly.

Everyone has political views of some type, but for some people it’s their whole personality.

Yeah, you got me. I don’t really have a personality beyond the political. I have an ethnicity, gender, religion, but those are all political labels. I’m an extrovert, which means I prefer the company of others, which involves groups, so it’s political. I only like political movies, like Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Everything Everywhere All At Once. I only enjoy political games like Deep Rock Galactic and political music like Bloodywood. All of my hobbies, like art and sports, involve other people and their collective actions. Take away my connections to other people, my engagement with groups to make decisions, together, and I’m all alone. My life ceases to have meaning.

BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS POLITICAL. Like I just told you!

republicans in the process of dismantling the entire federal government, all protections and safety nets, all science and education, heralding in a fascist take over

And how did they let this happen? They made the party they vote for every 4 years become their entire personality.

so your solution to the reality of propaganda working is tell other people not to worry about it?

have fun up on your self righteous hill while the country is dismantled underneath you
