Anyway…

This is a bizarre short musical film telling Americans what to do in an air raid, obviously made shortly after America entered WWII. I thought it was absolutely fascinating and the sort of bit of history none of us would have known about otherwise, which is why I decided to post it.

It was apparently a song by Tony Pastor and his Orchestra and was also released as a record: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GPDuBfze5PU

    Wild. 1, I was not expecting the song. Totally was expecting the “voice of god” style 2, the smoking while singing. lol

      Did you know that cigarettes were part of standard military rations in WWII? Smoking-related illnesses that those cigarettes led to killed far more people than bullets and bombs in the war.

        In fact I did.

        I saw something last night. About it’s hard to explain to kids today that yes before the 80s everything smelled like cigarettes.

        Or something to that effect
