I still frequent quite a few fora, though they’re not as active as they used to be, but still offer great discourse on numerous topics.

Or don’t be an ass to the person just trying to do their job and tell them you’re there for a prescription.
Fucking +infinity for Atmosphere. Love them so much.
I hate to lose our governor, but would love to see what he could do as VP.
Walz is only a few months older than Harris. She is 59 and will be 60 in October. Walz turned 60 in April.
Looks like a fun game but I hate this new model that Hitman is trying and I won’t support it. 90% off part one, no VR, full game still $70-100 depending on the edition. Plus DLC, too.
This is the reason this one left my wishlist long ago. Stop trying to monetize every part of the game! Or don’t and I’ll just play the older, better Hitman games I already own for that fix.
The work this group is pumping out is insane. Just the part deletion progression is impressive but the thrust, bar, and isp gains in the process are amazing.
Same here. Kids watch it all the time, but the adults almost never do.
That’s awesome! Keep it up!
That’s pretty wild; never seen this one before. Thanks for sharing!
It’s not like fires in California are a new phenomenon. The first one wasn’t their fault, sure. The second has shown them the risk and frequency of fires in the area they live. If they rebuild there again then yes, the consequences of any more fire damage or loss of property are completely their fault.
Perhaps the next house they won’t build in a fire-prone area. But I doubt it.
Delta was the only airline to suffer a long outage. That’s why I say Crowdstrike is the kickoff, but the poor, drawn-out response and time to resolve it is totally on Delta.
There was no easy automated way if the systems were encrypted, which any sane organization mandates. So yes, did require hands-on-keyboard. But all the other airlines were up and running much faster, and they all had to perform the same fix.
Basically, in macOS terms, the OS fails to boot, so every system just goes to recovery only, and you need to manually enter the recovery lock and encryption password on every system to delete a file out of /System (which isn’t allowed in macOS because it’s read only but just go with it) before it will boot back into macOS. Hope you had those recorded/managed/backed up somewhere otherwise it’s a complete system reinstall…
So yeah, not fun for anyone involved.
Pretty sure their software’s legal agreement, and the corresponding enterprise legal agreement, already cover this.
The update was the first domino, but the real issue was the disarray of Delta’s IT Operations and their inability to adequately recover in a timely fashion. Sounds like a customer skimping on their lifecycle and capacity planning so that Ed can get just a bit bigger bonus for meeting his budget numbers.
If you want really disgusting, my grandmother had a mayonnaise cookbook with all sorts of crimes against humanity presented as normal, everyday meals. Thankfully she was a good cook and thus never subjected us to those horrors, but I still get kinda sick just thinking about some of them.
I’ve pulled back as well. They’ve eliminated all their good coupons and increased all their prices to the point where a more upscale restaurant is on equal footing in price and far ahead in quality.
McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, and Burger King all compete on being cheap, filling, and of adequate quality for most people. Now they’re not cheap anymore and I can get Cane’s, Popeye’s, Culver’s, and Five Guys for nearly the same price. What incentive to I have to choose McDonald’s/BK/TB/etc? Also, I don’t drink soda, so no value meal options anywhere for that. I’ll never buy that $5 meal deal.
Taco Bell’s chili cheese burrito is $3.79. Beef and bean burritos are $2.49 for gods sake. That shit used to be 89 cents. Even with inflation it should only be about $1.50. McDonald’s double cheeseburger is $3.79, too. BKs app deals are a joke and what was once a pretty good value meal is basically toast. Same at Wendy’s, and they’re also investigating surge pricing for food, even though they walked it back.
I’m glad folks are voting with their wallets and saying no more to this crap. I get prices go up in the long term but damn, this feels more like price gouging than inflation.
Damn. Perfect Hit. Water is dark red within seconds. Brutal.
Fuck Russia. Slava Ukraini.
Best Zelda game!
No flag, no country, you can’t have one!
