He lost because his fucken party has no platform, got literally 1 thing done, and fucked up everything else. I’m tired of the smoke and mirrors. We were embarrassed daily as a fucken nation, its not rocket science. It has nothing to do with twats in “unfamiliar” places. They all need to be exiled from the country, and we need to fix all these fucken corpos buying politicians and justices.

That and he killed 1 million Americans (a huge swath of them republican) by politicizing a fucking pandemic. That couldn’t have helped him at the voting booth either.

Remember when the country came together after 9/11 because there was an enemy that was not a different half of our populace? We could have had that again with covid, but nooooo, we had to turn to infighting instead (and villainizing China while we were at it).

I’m just going to point out that we likely could’ve taken out bin Laden without invading Afghanistan, and we only went into Iraq because Bush Jr has major daddy issues. The vast majority of the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, the ringleader was from Egypt, and the mastermind was from Saudi Arabia and living in Afghanistan. So once again, we were mostly targeting the wrong groups, it’s just that these happened to live outside the country.

Don’t forget about Cheney being the SoS for HW for the first Iraq war, and VP for the 2nd. Cheney had a big hand in both wars, and it amazes me how many people forget that.

you summed up my feelings perfectly. Every day I can’t believe he is still a possibility and that that party can still win any election. I still remember the days when rebublicans did not want to be caught doing their things in the open and actually resigned in disgrace. Its the age of no shame.

A big aspect was Covid, not his mishandling of it getting a million Americans killed, but the social distancing restrictions encouraging vote by mail that increased the turnout.

It’s insane to me that he can get away with saying stuff like this.

TLDR: A top adviser to Donald Trump said he lost in 2020 because he had too many non-locals running campaign operations in states they didn’t fully understand.

He was handed a nonpartisan global crisis in an election year and turned it into a wedge issue.
