True Americans give out full-sized candy bars on Halloween, full-sized candy canes at Christmas, and chocolate bunnies that are not hollow on the inside at Easter.

Those bunnies are really fucking hard to find though. I forgive when people give me hollow chocolate bunnies, it’s what Obi-Wan would want

Am I the only one who prefers hollow bunnies? I’m not a huge chocolate fan, so a solid chocolate bunny is just way too much chocolate.

I think there’s something to enjoy from both. The hollow chocolate is so intensely sweet to me now, that I would never be able to handle it as a solid block. I think they’re also satisfying to eat, I like breaking them on the roof of my mouth.

The solid bunnies are usually somewhat higher quality chocolate, especially if you can find the ultra rare dark chocolate solid bunnies. They can be pretty difficult to eat though, especially the really big ones

            Actual enlightened centrist. Great take.

I also forget that the solid bunnies are usually thinner and not as big as the hollow ones - but the point about chocolate quality is very important.

I liked a solid bunny as a kid because I would take a bite off him and put him back in the freezer.

E: The most important thing is to break him into bite-sized snaps before putting him in the freezer to begin with, though. No use biting him with your actual teeth if he’s frozen.

If they are hollow, they are much more easy to eat and not shatter your teeth.

Are you rich? You have this kind of money to throw around? Full size candy is like 2 bucks each, that’s like half a gallon of gas…

Honestly, in 2019 full size bars weren’t that bad if you brought them from a place in bulk. I got mine at costco for a pretty good deal, I wanna say like 32 bars were included and it was under $30 at the time. For comparison, costco also had a giant bag of mini ones which was around $20. Because I didn’t have a huge turnout of kids I was able to get away with giving full bars for maybe $10 more than what I would’ve spent. I think it was worth it when you see the kids faces drop when they realize your house is giving away the good stuff.

With that said, chocolate has gone up a lot during the years of inflation and that same box is sadly a lot more now, so I have dropped back down to just the large bag of mini ones.

It’s not as bad if you go to Sam’s Club or whichever warehouse store is near you. I can pick up a box of 30 full-size bars for less than $30 there.

And I never get 30 kids.

Try two Aussie dollars not even getting you a litre (0.2 gallons). I ain’t giving out solid easter bunnies with those prices!
