HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — More than a dozen third-party candidates for president, U.S. Senate and three statewide offices filed paperwork ahead of Thursday's deadline to get on November's general election ballot in Pennsylvania, raising the possibility that they could play spoiler in high-stakes and cl
And the world would be a significantly better place today if everyone who voted 3rd party instead voted in a way that influenced the outcome (our votes had net-zero effect, the exact same as if we burned our ballots).
Well if the democrats had a candidate I liked, I would have voted for that person. They didn’t. And they still don’t.
So I will vote exactly the way I want to vote and for who I want to win.
You do realize that we get to vote for who we WANT to win, right? Even if that person isn’t who you don’t want to win.
And this year, I am voting for Jill Stein. Welcome to democracy.
Your logic is irrelevant until you arrive at a conclusion that makes a difference. Voting 3rd party is functionally equivalent to burning your ballot. You may as well be arguing why burning your ballot is a good idea. That’s the amount of influence your vote has.
Seems like pretty good ROI for Russian online disinformation campaigns here, considering they’ve probably spent a few dozen rubles at most to get someone to throw away their vote three elections in a row and actively promote their spoiler candidate on top of that.
Just beause I am not voting for who you want me to, doesn’t mean I am part of a Russian disinformation campaign.
You do realise that not everyone agrees with you, right? AS in almost half of the fucking country. Are they all paid by russian people too?
Brah, c/conspiracy is that way ------>
To you.
But I get to vote for who I want. Even if it’s not who you like.
Welcome to democracy.
I, and several of my friends, are voting for Jill Stein in this year’s election.
I don’t care if you disagree. It’s my right.
Yes, it is absolutely your right. Just like if you decided to rip your ballot up into tiny pieces. That would also be your right.
I guess exercising your right is more important to you than defending democracy.
Yes, that would be my right. But I’m not doing that. I’m exercising my right to vote for who I want to vote for.
Do you hear yourself tho? You are trying to bully me into voting for who YOU want to win.
I AM defending and practicing democracy; I’m voting for who I want to win.
Democracy is voting for who you want to win. Even if it’s republican. Even if it’s democrat. Even if it’s 3rd party.
That’s democracy.
You talk about defending democracy, but right now you are being against it by trying to bully me into voting for your candidate.
You really want me to vote democrat? Well, as soon as there is a democrat I want to vote for, I will.
I’m actually independent. I don’t vote just out of party loyalty.
That’s fucking democracy, bub. You seem to be against democracy if it involves people not voting the way YOU want them to vote.
Think about that.
Calling me a bully for your insecurity is trolling. Blocked.
Maybe your “friends” will see reason even if you don’t.
How am I insecure?!
I am voting for who I want to, even tho you were pressuring me and trying to make me feel guilty. Which IS bullying by the way.
That’s not insecure, friend. And that’s not trolling.
That’s me standing up for myself. Proudly.
Awww, and I see you put friends in quotes. So cute. Let me guess; you’re implying I don’t have any real friends because I’m voting 3rd party. Right?!
Feel free to keep “blocking” people who don’t agree with you.
And besides, if my and my “friends” matter so little, then you have nothing to worry about in the election, right?!
