Sadly, first comes nationalization, then comes “liberation” by the coalition of the willing. I hope Niger is the vanguard of a new decolonization movement that is organized by clear-eyed strategists that have what they need to succeed.
I think the problem with most liberation movements is that they dont have the perspective of going beyond capitalism. That inevitably leads them to the same situation of the ones they were liberated from in the first place, as we see in South Africa. The strugle will be reborn ever again until this is solved, but everytime this happens the conscience that the problem is capitalism (and not this specific manifestation of it) solidifies even more
